Welcome to Modern Swing Dance, your go-to West Coast Swing dance school. Our team of experienced teachers are passionate about sharing the joy of this dance with everyone!

 

We offer classes for all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers. Whether you want to learn a new skill, meet new people, or just have fun, Modern Swing Dance is the place for you.

 

Our mission is to create a safe, cohesive and inclusive learning space, focused on giving students the necessary knowledge to get the most out of dance. We believe that dancing is not just about the steps, but about the experience. That's why we focus on creating a community that supports and encourages each other.

Pascale  Dernocoure
Pascale Dernocoure

Pascale started her dance journey with 10 years of ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary dance before discovering street Latin.

​

She has danced Salsa, Bachata & Samba professionally for over 20 years competing, teaching, judging and performing all over Australia & NZ. She dipped her toes into West Coast Swing 5 years ago and hasn't looked back.

​

Known for her technical teaching and smooth styling, Pascale brings a wealth of knowledge to the Modern Swing Dance team.  

Nathan Walsh
Nathan Walsh

With more than 10 years experience in partner dances, Nathan started his journey with Ceroc (Modern Jive) and shortly dived into the world of West Coast Swing.

​

Growing up playing and teaching piano gave him a strong appreciation and understanding of music. 

His musical and collaborative dance style has led to many successful competition results.

​

Nathan teaches regular weeknight classes as well as teaching and judging at various events across Australia and NZ.

Reasmey Tith
Reasmey Tith

Reasmey began dancing at the age of 4, training in tap, jazz and ballet. She discovered Ceroc 10 years ago and WCS soon after that. 

​

Reasmey achieved champion status in Ceroc and Advanced in WCS, actively competing and judging on the AUS/NZ event circuit as well as teaching weekly classes.

​

Alongside her partner Nathan Walsh, they are sought after teachers in both styles bringing clarity, approachability and passion for dance to their classes & workshops.

Nathan is a highly experienced dancer with over 25 years dancing, teaching and performing over multiple styles including Salsa, Lindy Hop, Balboa & WCS.

​

His comittment to sharing his vast knowledge in many aspects of dance ensures his classes are a unique learning experience.

 

Nathan regularly guest teaches at many events and dance schools across Australia. Whether on the social dance floor or teaching his regular classes, he continues to inspire and connect people to dance.
